Jenna Price Carpenter 

 Dr. Jenna P. Carpenter is the inaugural Dean of Engineering at Campbell University. Previously, she served as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies in the College of Engineering and Science at Louisiana Tech University, where she also directed the Office for Women in Science and Engineering.  She previously served for five years as Associate Dean for Administration and Strategic Initiatives and for ten years as an engineering department head at Louisiana Tech.  Jenna was PI of Louisiana Tech’s NSF ADVANCE grant and previously served as co-PI on the NSF-funded WEPAN Knowledge Center Project.  She also served as Vice President for Professional Interest Councils on the Board of Directors for ASEE and as Director-at-Large for the ASEE Women in Engineering Division.  Jenna holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Louisiana Tech University and was an Alumni Federation Fellow at LSU, where she received both her M.S. and Ph.D. in Mathematics.  

Jenna currently advises on diversity and mentoring programs for a variety of NSF-funded programs and women-serving STEM organizations.  She is an ABET Program Evaluator and is the Chair of the Steering Committee for the National Academy of Engineering Grand Challenge Scholars Program.  She is also active in the Mathematical Association of America. Jenna is passionate about creating a culture of success and empowering women in STEM fields at all levels, from students through administrators.
