Elaina Carpino joined Owens Corning, a recognized leading global producer of insulation, roofing and fiberglass composites, in March 2002. Elaina currently leads the development, commercialization and strategy for both high performance systems in new home construction and residential insulation batt and rolls as Product Manager within the Strategic Marketing organization at Owens Corning.
Prior to joining Owens Corning, Elaina was employed with Dow Corning Corporation in October 1999. Early in her career at Dow Corning, she served roles in Technical Sales and Application Engineering. Upon joining Owens Corning in 2002, Elaina deployed advanced control efforts across the US insulation network to deliver consistent fiberglass quality and bottom line results. She served as Operations Leader and led the ISO 9001 deployment at the Eloy, Arizona residential insulation manufacturing plant. Further, Ms. Carpino managed the Information Systems global portfolio and IT governance processes to deliver operational excellence. While in Information Systems, she also led the global personal computing and asset management organization. Additionally, Elaina deployed an innovation portfolio management system and Stage Gate governance process globally across Owens Corning’s three leading businesses (roofing, insulation and composites). Most recently, she led the development and commercialization of the Owens Corning High Performance Conditioned Attic System as an alternative solution for builders to meet the stringent California Title 24 energy code requirements toward net-zero energy homes by 2020.
With a strong passion for talent, diversity and inclusion, Elaina co-led the Owens Corning Affinity Group GLBTA (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and advocates) from 2008 to 2010 and currently serves as a member of WIN (women information network). In addition, Elaina led the global Science & Technology Development Program coaching and developing early career talent MS and PhD engineers and scientists across North America and China. She received her BS in Chemical Engineering in 1999 from The Ohio State University and MBOE from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business in 2010.
