Join us at WEPAN’s 2016 Change Leader Forum
The nation's foremost conference on gender equity and inclusion in engineering and STEM higher education and workplaces
The 2016 Change Leader Forum, taking place June 14 - 16, 2016 in Broomfield, CO just outside Denver, will bring together leading experts in culture change to continue the crucial national discourse about the impact of culture on engaging and retaining diverse communities of women in engineering—both in education and the workforce. The Forum provides opportunities for advocates to learn, share, network and form collaborations with both novice and expert participants who are all working to promote inclusion and diversity initiatives within their organizations.
The Forum will be organized around the Framework for Promoting Gender Equity in Organizations which describes the four ways (prepare women, create equal opportunity, value difference, re-envision work culture) that organizations can promote gender equity. As the four Frames progress, they become more focused on the complexities of organizational cultures and take into account a greater number of factors. This research suggests that substantial culture change in engineering will require a broader spectrum of partners working at multiple levels and the Change Leader Forum will focus on this purposeful rebuilding of the culture in engineering education and the engineering workplace.
In addition to five plenary sessions, participants will have opportunity to attend workshops, panels, Hi-Fives for Change talks, focused conversations and a Showcase Reception. The 2016 Change Leader Forum will include four distinct tracks (click track name to show session titles in each track):
Make plans now to join us in beautiful Broomfield, Colorado, this June. This site will be updated as program details are finalized, including pre- and post-conference workshops that may be scheduled for June 13 and June 17.
