WEP provides dynamic leadership in the college to facilitate collaboration on diversity and inclusion issues.

Purdue University's Women in Engineering Program (WIEP) helps women and girls discover their inner engineer. From mentoring to career development, WIEP encourages current and future women engineering students by providing interesting and engaging programming relevant to their lives. WIEP programs are a place to learn, discover and explore aspects of engineering, and connect with others who are also interested. They are a place of encouragement, support, and positive perspectives for those who are interested in pursuing an engineering degree.

The Women in Engineering Program (WEP) at The University of Texas at Austin connects students, educators and professionals to the world of engineering through recruitment initiatives, supportive structures and educational services to promote the success and advancement of women in engineering. WEP reaches over 7,000 pre-college students, 2,000 current engineering students, and 1,000 educators annually through outreach, recruitment, retention, leadership and education initiatives. The BOLD Center is part of the College of Engineering and Applied Science’s commitment to creating a diverse environment where all engineering students are welcome, and where students who are traditionally underrepresented in engineering -- women, underrepresented minorities -- are empowered to achieve their dreams. Our programs promote the recruitment, retention, and development of engineering students at CU Boulder, and equip them for success through graduation and beyond.

The Women in Engineering (WIE) Program in the Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland was established in January 1995 through a grant from the Sloan Foundation. WIE is dedicated to promoting the role of women in the field of engineering. Our focus is on the recruitment of prospective female engineering students and the retention of current undergraduate and graduate female engineering students.


ENGAGE Engineering, launched in 2009 through an NSF grant, has worked to increase the capacity of engineering schools to retain undergraduate students by implementing proven, research-based strategies into engineering programs. Today, for institutions and individuals, ENGAGE offers a plethora of publicly-accessible resources for strategy implementation.

Founded in 1870 by America's First Family of Inventors — who patented steam ferries and the modern form of railroad track, among many other inventions — technological innovation has remained the hallmark of Stevens’ education and research programs ever since. Today, within the university’s three schools and one college, 6,600 undergraduate and graduate students collaborate with more than 290 faculty members in an interdisciplinary, student-centric, entrepreneurial environment to advance the frontiers of science and leverage technology to confront global challenges.

Founded in 1965, the Henry Samueli School of Engineering educates more than 4,000 engineers each year with an integrative approach that blends fundamentals, research and hands-on experience. The school’s mission is to unleash innovation, create opportunities and inspire ingenuity. The Samueli School’s faculty members are leaders in their disciplines who have achieved worldwide recognition for their research and dedicated teaching. Under the leadership of Dean Gregory Washington, the school pursues research that is timely, socially responsible and cutting edge, and works in partnership with industry and state and federal agencies to promote the transfer of research to applications that benefit society.

WE@RIT is dedicated to expanding the representation of women engineers and preparing them for leadership roles within the engineering profession. WE@RIT’s initiatives span the K12 community, new students, current students and alumnae, representing the entirety of a female engineer’s life. WE@RIT is focused on expanding positive engineering messaging, removing barriers to access, involving all engineering disciplines and remaining college student-focused in the implementation of all of our initiatives.
