CoNECD

Collaborative Network for Engineering and Computing Diversity Conference

The only conference dedicated to all the diverse groups that comprise our engineering and computing workforce.

WEPAN is pleased to announce that the 2018 WEPAN Annual Conference will take place as a part of the new joint venture – the Collaborative Network for Engineering and Computing Diversity (CoNECD - pronounced “Connected”) Conference, taking place April 29th - May 1st at the Marriott Crystal City Gateway just outside of Washington, DC. CoNECD is a collaborative effort of the following organizations:

  • WEPAN - Women in Engineering ProActive Network
  • NAMEPA - National Association of Multicultural Engineering Program Advocates
  • MIND - Minorities in Engineering Division of the American Society for Engineering Education
  • WIED - Women in Engineering Division of the American Society for Engineering Education

Please note that WEPAN will hold its annual conference as a part of the CoNECD conference and there will be no separate Change Leader Forum in 2018.

The vision of the CoNECD (pronounced, “connected”) Conference is to provide a forum for exploring current research and practices to enhance diversity and inclusion of all underrepresented populations in the engineering and computing professions including gender identity and expression, race and ethnicity, disability, veterans, LGBTQ+, 1st generation and socio-economic status.
