Tips and Tactics from Active Learning Master Educators

What is active learning? Anything course-related that all students in a live or online class session do other than watching and listening to a lecture.

In this webinar, you will learn how to integrate active learning techniques in your online or flipped classrooms. Learn teaching strategies that:

  • Translate research into practice
  • Engage and energize students
  • Improve the quality of student learning
  • Create lively, inclusive learning environments

This EIT webinar recording is publicly accessible and is relevant to all interested educators.  Examples are engineering specific.

WEPAN members can access the following additional webinar resources:

  • Powerpoint (PDF)
  • Active Learning Handout
  • Active Learning Checklist
  • Active Learning Q&A
  • Webinar Chat Log
  • Active Learning: An Introduction
  • PNAS Article "Active learning increases student performance in science, engineering and mathematics"
