Glenda P. La Rue
Chief Strategy Consultant

Glenda’s career includes a balanced combination of industry, higher education administration, and non-profit management experience. Prior to joining WEPAN’s staff in 2014, Glenda directed STEM and diversity programs for The Citadel and The Ohio State University's College of Engineering. Prior to her transition into higher education, she practiced water resources engineering as a licensed professional engineer in both the public and private sectors. Since becoming a WEPAN member in 2004, Glenda has been a passionate advocate for the inclusion of women in engineering. In 2006, she accepted the WEPAN Women in Engineering Program Award in recognition of the initiatives she led at Ohio State to increase participation of girls and women in the field of engineering. Glenda was elected to the WEPAN Board of Directors in 2010, and served as WEPAN President from 2011-2012. She received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in civil engineering from Virginia Tech.

Usha Ramamurthy
Business & Strategic Operations Consultant

Usha’s professional background is in marketing and operations and she has worked at leading advertising, database marketing, customer care call center, and non-profit organizations across the country. Her professional career spans 25+ years and includes experience with risk management, policy development, and database management. Usha has her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts and Sciences from Queens College-CUNY, New York and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. She also recently completed her Graduate Certificate in Project Management from the University of Colorado, Boulder Engineering Management Program.

Gretal Leibnitz, PhD
Research & Grants Consultant

Gretal currently serves as Principal Investigator for WEPAN's NSF Transforming Engineering Culture to Advance Inclusion and Diversity (TECAID) project. Leibnitz has been involved in social justice, broadening participation, institutional and organizational change efforts for the past 20+ years. She has worked in numerous organizational contexts ranging from non-profit to private liberal arts and large public research-intensive academic institutions. Recently, Leibnitz helped initiate and lead a 5 year ADVANCE Institutional Transformation project, WEPAN's NSF GSE Engineering faculty professional development (Engineering Inclusive Teaching (EIT) project), and WEPAN's NSF i-Corps-L project. Leibnitz holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology.
