Participant Agenda for the 2023 ACCESS+ Convening
Description
This document is the participant agenda for the 2023 ACCESS+ Convening, held June 4–5, 2023, at the Washington Duke Inn in Durham, NC. It outlines convening goals—using EEST results to identify DEI strengths and gaps, analyzing change drivers and barriers, developing action plans, building peer networks, accessing DEI resources, and sustaining momentum beyond ACCESS+.
The agenda includes:
- Pre-Convening Reception – Networking for participating STEM professional societies.
- Day 1 – Sessions on revisiting EEST Parts 2 and 3, exploring DEI resources (ARC Network, Community of Practice, communications, application-based EEST, NSF funding), action planning, implementation and assessment, and mini-grant presentations.
- Day 2 – A cultural humility and equity workshop, followed by an action planning deep dive in functional areas such as membership, professional development, and marketing.
